Cecily was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in international development and international relations. She focused her studies on Latin America and spent a summer in Asunción, Paraguay working at a microfinance organization and a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina studying and conducting research on MERCOSUR, a South American trade bloc. Regional economic integration remains one of her primary interests and she hopes to further study it in the future.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Cecily worked in Cuenca, Ecuador as a programs coordinator for an educational non-profit organization before returning to New Orleans and joining the Pelton + Balducci team as a paralegal. Cecily is an AILA member paralegal and is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time Cecily enjoys baking, riding her bike, and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Southern Louisiana.
